7 Top White Label & Private Label CBD Companies
According to a 2020 survey conducted by SingleCare, 33% of Americans have tried at least one CBD-infused product. For those looking to sell CBD products, white label and private label CBD companies offer a quick and easy way to gain a foothold in the industry. This article highlights seven private and white label companies that deserve a spot at the top of your list of potential CBD product suppliers.
White Label vs. Private Label
First, let’s define the difference between white label and private label. It’s easy to get these two terms mixed up. In fact, many people use them interchangeably. But there’s an important difference. White label CBD products are standard formulations and configurations produced by a white label company for resale by multiple sellers. In theory, the exact product formulation could be sold under multiple brand names. As a result, white label CBD products are cheaper because the formulations aren’t specifically customized to your brand.
On the other hand, private label CBD products are designed and manufactured specifically for your company and no one else’s. The formulation is proprietary, custom-made to your specifications, and sold solely under your brand name. These products can’t be sold by anyone else. Since the formulation is proprietary, using a private label CBD company to produce your products is more expensive than using a white label company.
Top CBD Private Label and White Label Companies
There are many private label and white label CBD companies to choose from, and each has its own set of capabilities and benefits. We’ve hand-picked seven of the industry’s finest to provide a starting point for your search to find a quality CBD white label or private label partner.
BATCH is a Wisconsin-based company with a deep respect for nature, transparency, and authenticity. The BATCH team is obsessed with quality, which is why they control their value chain from farm to the final finished product. This company is young, energetic, and innovative, which makes them a perfect partner for those looking to create a truly unique product. Best of all, their service is excellent and personable, so you know you’ll be taken care of. We can’t recommend them enough.
2. Joy Organics
This CBD producer is unique in a couple of ways. First, they offer a complete line of USDA Certified Organic CBD products, which can be challenging to find. Second, they sell their products under their own label and also offer a white label program for businesses interested in selling their products under their own brand. This can be especially useful if you’re interested in providing organic CBD products. The company makes it easy to get started with a relatively low $2,500 initial ordering threshold and only a $1,000 reorder minimum purchase requirement. Their minimum order quantity is only 12 units per SKU, making Joy Organics a great choice for companies first starting out.
3. The Hemp Plug
This seed-to-shelf operation offers an extensive selection of white label and private label CBD options. The Hemp Plug has a wide range of product offerings covering all of the most popular categories, including tinctures, capsules, gummies, CBD-infused dog treats, and bath products. Their hemp is US-grown using only organic fertilizers. They’ve committed to growing without the use of chemical pesticides. In addition, the Hemp Plug offers a completely customizable menu of support options, including help with branding and product packaging. So you can lean on their industry expertise as little or as much as you need to as you’re getting your business started.
4. Folium Biosciences
Based in Colorado, Folium Biosciences is one of the oldest CBD manufacturers in the US. Their production facility uses proprietary extraction techniques to yield a range of high-quality CBD products. They offer a variety of white label products, including broad-spectrum hemp oils, salves, and soft gels. Folium Biosciences also has an extensive line of CBD-based products for dogs, including calming sprays and tablets and a hip and joint supplement. Many of their products are certified Halal and Kosher too.
5. CBD Hemp Experts
This Florida-based CBD company offers both private label and white label CBD products. CBD Hemp Experts manufacture all of their CBD products in FDA-registered facilities that are GMP-certified. So you know your CBD products are being produced in accordance with industry standards. All of their hemp is organically grown in the US. CBD Hemp Experts offers both THC-free and less than .3% THC products. They don’t have any minimum order requirements for their white label CBD products, making them an excellent fit for CBD businesses just getting started.
This private label CBD company prides itself on making it easy to custom create your own line of CBD products. Neurogen allows you to customize the flavor, strength, and extract for each product. The company sources its raw hemp from California farms and processes it in cGMP-certified manufacturing facilities (which use a more robust testing process than standard GMP). Order turnaround times range between 10-14 days, ensuring you can restock quickly. Their products are Kosher and Vegan certified too. Their minimum order value of $1,000 and minimum order quantity of 100 units make it approachable to offer CBD products tailored to your unique vision.
7. Partnered Process
Partnered Process is a 100% organic manufacturer with an extensive range of USDA Organic CBD products. Their Wisconsin grown, processed, and manufactured offerings include edibles, tinctures, and topicals. They even have smokable CBD hemp buds, joints, and vape juice. Partnered Process offers both white label and private label capabilities, allowing you the flexibility to start white labeling their pre-made products and then transition to creating your own proprietary CBD formulations as your business grows. They pride themselves on the freshness of their products, making them to order. A unique aspect of working with Partnered Process is that they allow bulk ordering for CBD and hemp oils. This makes it possible for more established CBD businesses to reprocess these preprocessed oils into tinctures, capsules, and other CBD-based products of their own.
This Seattle-based CBD manufacturer provides both white label and private label CBD products. LaurelCrest offers the standard tinctures, soft gels, and balms but also features some innovative, less commonly seen CBD-infused products such as beverages, bath bombs, and cosmetics. Their raw hemp is grown in Oregon and processed in GMP-certified manufacturing facilities. As a result, each batch of CBD is traceable to the individual farm where it was grown.
Bonus: OP Innovates
OP Innovates is comprised of a group of industry experts with over 100 years of experience in the hemp, cannabis, and pharmaceutical sectors. Founder Annie Rouse describes OP Innovates as the “Intel of hemp/cannabis, making everyone’s brands more effective.” They have a unique proprietary delivery system called Naturia+ that just went through clinical trials with positive results. Their primary objective is private labeling their product into capsules, foods, and powders, but they can also make oils and topicals as well. You don’t want to miss this up-and-coming business!
Bonus: Grow with Redeem
Grow with Redeem offers both white label and private label products. They manufacture all of their own pharma-grade products from USDA Certified hemp in their cGMP facility located in West Columbia, SC. Grow with Redeem can custom formulate unique products (private label) or provide white label customers with their market-tested Redeem Therapeutics brand with their labeling. They provide branding and label design services, private label stability testing, and offer options such as warehousing and order fulfillment. They have no minimum order size and have a passion for helping entrepreneurs launch their brands. Their goal is to partner with clients to help them build great brands.

Our NEW CBD + THC Gummies
We introduced two THC-enhanced CBD gummy formulas, and they’ve quickly become a customer favorite. These full spectrum gummies contain 25mg of CBD—with a choice of either 2.5mg or 5mg of Delta-9 THC—and are a great way to capitalize on the rapidly-growing CBD + THC demand.
Because the THC used in our gummies is derived from hemp (though it still has the same effect as THC derived from marijuana) and within the THC limits outlined by the 2018 Farm Bill, they’re federally legal and can be shipped to all states except Oregon and Idaho.

Private Label CBD Suppliers and Companies
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is the second most prevailing of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). CBD is one of the hundreds of components of cannabis, but by itself, it does not cause a “high” as marijuana does. CBD oil is created by extracting cannabidiol from the flowers and buds of hemp or marijuana plants. Marijuana and hemp are two very different breeds of the same cannabis Sativa plant that have been farmed over many years to have completely different purposes. They both contain CBD, but hemp only contains CBD, whereas marijuana contains CBD and many other chemicals with various functions, such as tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the molecule that causes a “high.” CBD does not produce intoxication since it does not contain THC. All of the 50 states have laws that legalize CBD with different degrees of restrictions. In December 2015, the FDA eased regulatory requirements so that researchers can now conduct CBD trials. CBD is mainly marketed and sold as a supplement, not a medication. Currently, the FDA does not regulate the safety and purity of dietary supplements, so researching a supplier’s production methods is essential. If you’d like to learn more about sourcing, regulations, and other factors in running a cannabusiness, you can also check out our comprehensive guide on the subject.
Private label products are products made by one company for sale under another company’s brand (or label). Private label goods are available in a wide range of industries, from food to supplements and cosmetics. Private label products managed exclusively by a retailer for sale in a specific retail store chain are called store brands. This article ranks the top private label manufacturers of CBD on Thomasnet.com by their annual revenue so that you can find the supplier that best suits your needs. First, though, we’ll be going into a little background on some of the most popular types of CBD products on the market, as well as the differences between private label and white label products. At a glance:
CBD: White Label vs. Private Label
For the sake of convenience, this article covers both white label and private label suppliers, as these two terms are often used interchangeably. However, white label products are usually standard manufactured products while private label products are custom made for the company whose label will go on the packaging.
White label products and services, ranging from a CBD supplement to software-as-a-service, are stock items or services offered to multiple buyer companies who can label the product and sell it under their brand names. White label products aren’t customizable, so they come with the risk of competition with other companies selling the same product under a different name. However, they also don’t require the extra work of developing specific formulas or prototypes before they can be mass-produced and sold, so they are cheaper and easier to procure.
On the other hand, private label products and services are custom, developed by the manufacturer or service company for a customer to resell. In this case the formula or design of a product will be proprietary information, so there is little danger of competition with identical products. However, these products do take more time and cost to manufacture.
In both cases, the purchasing company controls the product’s marketing, packaging, and branding. We discuss these two terms in more detail in our article on private label vs. white label definitions.
Popular Private Label CBD Products
While CBD lotion suppliers may be at the top of the interest list, CBD private label skincare is nearer to the bottom. According to a survey of adults in the US during April of 2020, CBD lotions and balms were the most popular, with 29% of respondents saying they were interested in them. Notable runners up include:
- CBD gummies (28%)
- Oral CBD oils, tinctures, and drops (26%)
- CBD capsules and tablets (18%)
- Topical CBD oil sprays (18%)
- CBD-infused food, such as chocolate (17%)
Additional products people expressed interest in included CBD-infused soap, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, bath bombs and bath salts, skincare products, and patches.
A note about these products: while cannabis, CBD, hemp, and other products have been undergoing a wave of legalization across the US, laws still vary from state to state. Since these products are so new to the market, regulation of them is still ongoing; even the FDA has only approved prescription CBD products so far. Because of this, it’s important to find a reputable supplier. CBD buyers should look for:
- Proof of testing from a lab with ISO 17025 standards
- A certificate of analysis (COA) that shows the products have no pesticides, mold, or heavy metals, as well as a THC level of .3% or less.
- an FDA warning letter or bad reviews for the supplier
- Whether the supplier has made unrealistic or unsupported claims
