A certificate of analysis (COA) is a lab report on the chemical make-up (e.g., contents) of a product. In the context of Industrial Hemp extracts, the COA reports on the cannabinoid, terpene, and contaminant profile of CBD products. COA’s are used to verify that the contents of the product are matched to how it is advertised. These reports are important for verifying that hemp extracts have less than 0.3% THC by weight, as determined by the definition of Industrial Hemp in the law.
Broad-spectrum CBD contains cannabidiol and all the other compounds within the plant, save for THC, which is completely removed after the initial extraction. Because broad-spectrum extracts contain multiple cannabinoids, they also produce the “entourage effect,” but without the THC.
That’s a great question – and the answer is it is specific to everyone’s individual needs. Different ailments and conditions may require a higher or lower dose and it’s best to talk with your pharmacist about the interactions with any other medications you are taking first. Your body type, weight, chemistry is a sensitive balance, and your needs may change.
What kind of CBD do you use to infuse into the artisanal honey?
Prior to infusing the CBD into the honey, we have it independently tested to make sure it is of high quality standards with no impurities, pesticides or chemicals. The test report is called a “Certificate of Analysis” or COA.
We then infuse the CBD into either the Orange Blossom, Wildflower or Palmetto honey. The infused honey is sent for testing again to the third-party lab with the Certificate of Analysis (COA) being posted for each product. All of our COAs can be viewed on our Lab Reports Page .
We strongly recommend stirring the honey well before consuming to make sure the CBD is evenly distributed. For those who want to start out with a slower dose – stir the honey well and start with a half teaspoon for a 10 mg dose. You may choose to start by taking smaller doses more frequently.

The first thing that many of our customers notice is a vastly-improved sleep pattern, followed by the relief of the symptoms of a range of underlying health conditions as listed above.
Terpenes often give a plant its distinctive aroma, as in fruits such as oranges, and flowers such as lavender. Biologists believe that they evolved to make flowers and fruits either attractive to pollinators or repulsive to predators.
Our CBD Honey
When you ingest CBD in foodstuffs such as Haughton Honey the presence of MCT allows your body to get maximum benefit from the CBD. It appears to be efficacious in itself, but is also a great facilitator so that you get the maximum boost from your CBD-infused honey.
How much CBD can you – should you – be taking, and how much is there in Haughton Honey with CBD?
You do need to be careful what you buy – especially as CBD products are expensive, simply because each plant gives up only a small amount of CBD and the extraction process is very technical and time consuming.
